After the culmination of London Collections MEN week last week, we are LOVING some of the collections shown. Graphic prints, continuous patterns and feminine fusions (Not to mention a flood of this season of the moment colour; Orange) were everywhere, but we HAD to show you our favourite, home girl KATIE EARY. Graduating form her MA at the Royal college of Art in 2008, Eary is a London based designer who was instantly spotted by British Vogue and after showing her first collection, was immediately shooting with the now household name, Mario Testino.
Her latest collection is a bold and explosive eclectic combination of digital prints clashing with holographic silks in vivid feminine hues. Though predominantly a menswear designer, we had to pick our jaws off the floor when we saw the only female strut out in print-clashing, fuscia ensemble comprised of oversized slouchy sweater and high-waisted cigarette skinnys! LOVE!
As CageCity grows, our next step and dream is to incorporate menswear to our brand, and this will hopefully show an idea of the direction we want to go in. Be gone high street conformism and the embarrassment of walking past someone wearing YOUR t-shirt. BE INDIVIDUAL! Fashion is crazy, daring and fun, and with our help, let your wardrobe amaze. Break the mould!
